My 2015 ASR starting making a ticking noise only in forward, shortly after it began ticking when placed in either forward or reverse. The noise is clearly coming from where the shaft enters into the gearbox. I assume a tooth is missing or a bearing is shot. I can not find a rebuild kit for this thing anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could it be the drive plate on the back of the engine? -
Mine was doing the same slight ticking in forward and reverse, went away in neutral. Check the nut on collar from the through shaft and make sure it’s tight. Mine somehow backed off and sent the shaft out and ended up putting the prop into the rudder.Comment
