Taking on water in the Bilge

I own a 2005 20v and have recently been taking on water in the engine compartment. It only occurs when the engine is running. There doesn't seem to be anything leaking from the engine itself. Could it be coming from a seal at the prop or at the raw water intake? Has anyone experienced this problem and is it an easy fix?
    Cheers

It depends on how long I run the engine for. the more I run the engine the more water accumulation. if the water level becomes high enough the bilge does come on. I start to see accumulation after a couple of minutes.

check your raw water line going into your pump and the one comming out, i had a similar issue with mine taking on water only when the boat was running and this was the culprit

It could be coming from the seal at the prop, but the fact that it only happens when the motor is running kinda eliminates that.

Is it true that the seal for the prop only works when its spinning?

depends on if you have a dripless seal or not, my dripless was leaking a bit i just tightend up the clamps an problem solved, but only having it when the engine is running makes it the engine cooling pump or the raw water pump

Do you have a shower on board? My wife left one of the the taps open slightly and it filled the bilge.

I had a sneaky leak coming from the tee piec that feeds my shower. Tige put a plastic fitting here and it got heat effected. It only leaked bad when the thermostat opened and the engine was reving over 2000rpm. I replaced it with a bronze tee and all good.
