Hey guys I was looking for replacements for my busted courtesy lights in my 2001 21v but got to thinking if there was a replacement housing that would fit the same location but had the ability to change the colors of the light, has anyone done this or know of a good light?

There's lots of options for RGB and even more for single color. I was able to find the exact match for my courtesy lights and changed them from the old warm white to blue. I have a blue strip under my gunnels and sub vent as part of the same switch. All 14 cupholders are on one RGB controller and then all my speaker rings are on another RGB Controller.

Can't find in Blue looking quick here but, these match my 09 OEM courtesy lights and chrome frames: https://www.amazon.com/Partsam-Unive...%2C165&sr=8-19

Thanks for the reply Gumby!
The covers on my current courtesy light are cracked and falling off but new covers seem to be hard to find. I put some different color LEDS in the original housings and they worked fine. I am thinking of wiring up a entire new light housing with an RGB capable light then wiring them up to a controller next to the helm area. I found a couple good options online (with some slight modifications to the current light cut out).
Figured I would check and see if anyone else had already done something like this to save myself some time piecing together a system that will work well. I'm going to go ahead and order the stuff for mine and do a write up with links to the sites I bought the parts from, incase anyone else decides they want to do the same.
Ill check out yack power I have never heard of that site.

Absolutely, switching to RGB courtesy lights can really upgrade the look of your 2001 21v! I did something similar last year and found a few universal fit RGB lights online that worked great. They come with a controller for color changes, which is pretty handy. The key is to check the dimensions and the connector types to make sure they match your current setup.
Installation was straightforward for me, but it’s always good to follow any guides or instructions that come with the lights. For more detailed reviews and recommendations on which models might work best for your situation, I usually check out https://solargenerators.to. They often have useful insights and tips that could help you make a more informed decision.Last edited by vr6wannabe; 03-02-2024, 03:04 PM.
