Anyone know how much coolant I should see in the reservoir when the engine is cold? and is it the standard green type?

Its pink Propolyene Glycol. You likely won't find it in pink at your local auto store. Sierra brand has "Low Tox" in a white bottle that is Propolyene dyed green. You can use it. Just don't mix ethylene glycol or dex cool ELC. You just need to see some in the reservoir really. Half full is about perfect tho
