Guessing the sea stainer is the brass grate under the boat.

I didn't see a see through container, unless it is under the seat. Would this container be before the shut-off valve?

It would be between the through hull and the impeller.

I have a slip rented at Rough River. I took the boat down there for the second time today only to bring it back again due to overheating. Someday I hope to make a home for it there.

Maybe I did see that or something that looked like that. I was on the other side of the motor and thought it looked like a filter of some kind because the thing screwed into the top looked white. Maybe it looked white because it was junked up.

I am just not that familiar with the closed cooling system. Sorry.

My boss has lake house on Lake Barkley. I plan on having my boat up there a couple of times for a party or two.

Where can I find a complete manual for my boat?

Still has a trans cooler, I believe, and the heat exchanger (radiator) is still cooled by lake water. Poor flow across it will cause higher then normal engine temps.

Now, since you have a closed cooling 6.0, if I remember right, they run a typical 195* thermostat, just like a car. So, you may not actually be overheating.

That sea container. If I find it, are there any other steps beside unscrewing, cleaning it out, and screwing it back on?

She runs over 200 and heads for 250 just idling around the marina.
