it's due to the prop I believe. If I remember correctly turning to the right is against the prop wash so it's harder, to the left is easy since it's the way the prop wash goes.
That would explain it I'm pretty sure.Originally posted by G-MONEYIt hurts me to say it but go OU but only for this weekend!!!!

Sorry, Just kidding
Its not really a "problem", Its just the way it is.
But if you really want to "fix" it you can grind down one side of the rudder. I believe you would want to grind on the port side. But I dont recommend it.Common Sense is not so Common

Racerman00...if you haven't done it already, I recommend replacing your steering cable. With a fresh, minty slippery cable installed, you barely notice the difference in left to right steering. If you need help doing that, search on the group and a few people have posted great instructions on how to change the steering cable. And, it's a relatively cheap fix too!
Good luck!

Get under the boat and grab the rudder and see if there is any play in the rudder port, if there is this will cause it to bind on one side more than other.
My ski team boat would bind up on one side more than the other and it was the rudder port was bad and the prop thrust would push it back on a tilt and bind up.
Also check and see if yours is the old style with a stuffing box seals, they will bind up when old.
