        H20,
I had the same problem. It took me 5 years to convince my wife . I have on 08 Z1 now and all is good!!!

By the way, that 08 Z1 at Texas Tige is sold! They do have a super sweet 10 Z1.

Best of luck with getting a boat, your wife will love it. I can put her in contact with a woman that took 5 years to figure out that having the boat is great for family fun!!! It's worth the coin

On my lake ballast is illegal so I would be running it without ballast or with very little.
I have never heard of ballast being illegal?? That sounds crazy....

There are different places that dont want the banks washed out because of bigger wakes.

I am aware of similar ballast restriction at a local lake. No ballast (no water, no lead or other means of adding weight), and no drag hardware (Wedge, Hydrogate).

Patrol will pull over and inspect boats suspect for having added ballast in some form. If they find water ballast, hard ballast, drag hardware, or have you hit the switch to empty in floor tanks and water comes out you lose lake privileges for one year and incur a monetary fine.

All in the name of preserving the shoreline and minimize erosion.

i don't know if anyone has had the chance to check out the 10 Z1. I could not even tell that it had ballast!!! i was totally blown away on how good tige has done with the new stock ballast systems!! you basically have the full cabin to store whatever you want without having to worry about sacs. not sure it you could get by with it on a no wake / ballast lake, but it sure fooled me. I had to take a double take to make sure it did have ballast.

                    Good job tige!!l

So far, the only down side to the 2010 Z1 I have found is that Tige totally enclosed the rear storage. There is now a bulk-head between the V-drive locker and the area under the seats, so a custom "L" shaped surf sac would not fit with out some mod. I believe the Custom Cube will be a good fit and add a good 800lbs. Other then that, I'm glade to see the in-floor ballast like the Ve/RZ boats.

                        Mike,

So they fully closed it off? When I had mine in 08 the tanks made it so you couldnt put a board in there, not even kneeboard. I am guessing since its closed off there is no way to put anything large in storage now.

Correct. I opened the storage up to stow my surf last Sat and wont fit!

Don't the new RZ's have a cooler on the starboard side that would not allow for a L-shape sack?

It's not that big, so it only takes up a little room.

Wow! That sucks! That's the exact reason I stopped looking at Centurions. Where are you supposed to store skis, boards, etc...???
