I'm looking at an 04 22V Rider's Edition and wondering how good (or not good) the slalom wake might be. Looking for that all-around family ski boat... Thanks. Also, any opinions on other all-arounders would be welcome, preferably inboard but not necessarily.

I have a 2003 22v rider edition and with taps in the slalom position the wake is about 9"'s at 29mph. In the wakeboard position (no ballast) at 22mph is 18"'s. with 3000lbs of ballast 3 ft. With perfect pass has a steedy pull. -

So with that said its not the best crossover boat but it does the job. you wont be running the course with it. The 20v would be a much better crossover but you are giving up 2 ft. Knowing what I know now, would I still get the 22v? Probably not more than likely I would have the Nautique 211 crossover. Most of my time is spent skiing now and a little surfing. My wife wakeboards and the kids do it all. The 22v is a great boat for us.Comment

If you can live with the smaller boat, I'd go with a 20V. It has one of the best slalom wakes out there for a V-Drive.Comment
