Slalom wake on 22V Rider's Edition

I'm looking at an 04 22V Rider's Edition and wondering how good (or not good) the slalom wake might be. Looking for that all-around family ski boat... Thanks. Also, any opinions on other all-arounders would be welcome, preferably inboard but not necessarily.

I have a 2003 22v rider edition and with taps in the slalom position the wake is about 9"'s at 29mph. In the wakeboard position (no ballast) at 22mph is 18"'s. with 3000lbs of ballast 3 ft. With perfect pass has a steedy pull.

I have an 04 22v RE and have the slalom wake dialed in now. If I had my way I would have a nautique 196 but we need the "all-around family ski boat" also.
So anyways I ski at 34mph 21 to 32 off most of the time. The wake is pretty good not to big and not to hard. Keep the weight out of the back and in the front, esp pasengers.
So with that said its not the best crossover boat but it does the job. you wont be running the course with it. The 20v would be a much better crossover but you are giving up 2 ft. Knowing what I know now, would I still get the 22v? Probably not more than likely I would have the Nautique 211 crossover. Most of my time is spent skiing now and a little surfing. My wife wakeboards and the kids do it all. The 22v is a great boat for us.

If you can live with the smaller boat, I'd go with a 20V. It has one of the best slalom wakes out there for a V-Drive.
