    Raising the swim platform

Has anybody raised there swim platform? (98 2200V) Mine pretty much sits in the water 3-4" unless I am about out of fuel. If I could I would like to raise it 6" Just looking so see if anybody else has gone down this path

I have not done it but my buddy has on his centurion elite bowrider all he did was he took aluminum square tubing. 1x4 1/8" thick rectangular tubing (aluminum so it don't rust). He cut it to the length of the support brackets and drilled holes where the bolts go. He had to get longer bolts of course. You can't even tell there is spacers under the platform, it is very solid I was impressed. He had the exact same problem as you when no weight was in the boat and the fuel tank half full the platform was level with the water.

You don't want it in the water?

I want it right at the waterline...as it is now it is underwater most of the time.

I just bought the same boat, 98 2200v, and have the same issue with the swim platform. I was trying to figure out if it was actually designed to sit under the waterline as I have only seen them just above the water line. Is this normal for that model?? I can only see issues with it under the water, getting slippery and rotting quicker. I was planning on cutting some teak slabs to go between the platform and the brackets and raise it up to the waterline. Why not show off a nice piece of teak instead of letting it spend its life under water where no one can see it! BTW what are people using to treat their teak???
