I have read several threads on how to find out where the water is entering into my boat. I have a dripless shaft pack, funny word. I have ran the engine at low and high RPM's. I checked all of my freeze plugs, fins, rutter and looked all around the motor. I have not been able to find the leaky source. I do know the water is coming from behind the drain plug. When I stop I can see the water running past the plug. Sometimes I can run the boat for 30 minutes and its dry and there are other times I can run it for 30 minutes and Havre a inch of water. When I park my boat in the driveway I notice water dripping from the intake under the boat.

A few ideas that I have.
Read your manual on how to adjust the dripless system, it is usually very simple. That would be the first place to start.
Check the silicone around the swim platform mounts, exhaust ports, and any other below water line through hole. Check your fron eye hook too.
Check under the rubrail for any gaps, water will make its way through while making basic turns or rough water and then make its way into the bilge.
Do you have/or use a cooler that drains in the bilge?
When you notice the water in the bilge are you or other people getting in and out of the boat from swimming?
Dripping water from intake is normal.

After hours of riding around in my boat with my head down in the engine compartment I found the leaky source. Of all things it was a stupid freeze plug. The plug would occasionally shoot out a stream of water and other times it would work just fine. The O ring was pinched which caused this problem. I went out and bought 12 freeze plugs so I will always have a back up supply.

The freeze plugs are brass and pressed into the block with no O-rings.
One of the drain plugs on our boat was missing the O-ring from the factory and there was a small, steady leak from it.
I removed them all since where we live it doesn't freeze and I don't drain the engine.
