    Swim step "Residue"

Sorry if this has been brought up here before. I have a 2006 22V with the fiberglass swim step. never had a problem before this year, but now when you walk on the swim step when it is wet, then into the boat, it leaves nasty black water on the seats. is there something to seal the rubber or has anyone else had this issue?

Common problem. My solution was to remove the factory traction pad and replace it with Gator Grip. Hated the old stuff - not only did it track in black residue, but it was hard and harsh. Gator grip is soft and non-slip. There are several threads that talk about replacing it. Not sure if there is a "fix" for your current pad.

The rubber "e" mat needs to be replaced. Not entirely sure that it's a warranty issue but you can call your local dealer.

There are other products on the market that you can replace the mat with. All three of these products are far superior to what Tige provides IMO.

      1) Gator Grip (www.wakejunky.com)
      2) Hydro Turf (www.hydroturf.com)
      3) SeaDek (http://www.seadek.com/)

Has Tige done away with the e mat for 09?

Nope, dingleberry had it on his 09 RZ4 and replaced it.

While I find the "e"'s on my 06 22v cool looking, they sure are a pain when some one steps from the platform to the inside seats.

Rubber "e" mat or the dreaded IROKO.
              Choices choices.

                  Right on brotha.
When I type "IROKO", I can't but help hearing a Japanese guy yelling it out loud.
                  My AVY actually has TEAK.

Fiberglass upgrade from Iroko. I heard it could not be done.

                    Thanks Carter13 for initial info.

                    Darn those e's.

                    Gator grip this off season.
