Towing a V-drive in the water

Has anyone had issues with towing a v-drive boat? I towed mine back with the houseboat and afterwords found the v-drive fluid all foamed up. I changed the fluid and everything works well. Just wondered if there are any tips to prevent this.

Sounds weird that it would happen with the boat off. Did you take on water and is your bilge pump working? I could see that happening if you took on water because the V-Drive dip stick is pretty low in the bilge.

Wasn't a problem for me

We dragged a buddy's V-Drive Malibu up and down Powell for a week last year without any problems at all.
