    submerged telephone pole

Tornado's in pittsburgh last week, so we put he boat in the river today, 5 minutes in we went over a submerged telephone pole, Lifted the boat up and immediate vibration. I head back to the launch 1/2 mile away and put the boat on the trailer expecting the worst, The 3 fins are untouched and perfectly straight, the propeller is perfect and i had my son start the boat up for a second and put it in gear on the trailer and the propshaft didnt seem to be out visually. So we put the boat in and checked and water is coming in thru the pss seal and a bunch of vibration when starting out, seems to smooth out at speed but definitely something go bent or put out of line. Is there a shaft internally that could get bent since water is pouring in i am at a loss.

    Thanks,

Sounds like a bent strut. It's not off-center so water is coming in past the seal and shaft. Bummer dude.

The strut is what holds the prop shaft outside the boat. Try puting a straight edge on the prop shaft.

It definately sounds like something is bent though. It could even be a small dent or bend on the prop you might have noticed.
