Throttle Question 21V

Has anyone replaced the throttle on a 99 21v? I used the search feature and found nothing. I have a new MV-2 that I plan on swapping into my boat, since my old one is shot. Only thing is how does the wire run through the shifter? Does the wire have a pig tail on the backside of the shifter so it can be removed easily?

I know the trim panels bolt in from the backside, but looking at the bolts how in the world did they get them tight to begin with? Some are a long way away from where you can reach.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Had mine out last year and yes, it is a loooong reach. Hope you can work blind because much of it is by feel. The wire for the taps comes out of the center and does plug in under the dash (mine anyway). Good luck and be patient, they obviously did not intend for these to come out after installation.
