I had my 100hr service last August (before Shasta) and the steering was tight, but acceptable. The first two outings this year, the steering is way too tight (too handed driving). I remember when the boat was new, I could drive with 1 finger. How can I get it back to new?

Sounds like the steering cable needs to be replaced or grease put into it.

Scrape back the plastic back on the cable, get a good drill and drill bit, make a small hole in the cable housing. Careful not to ding the cable though. Use a syringe to inject seafoam in and finish with some engine coolant with rust inhibitors. This takes time, so be patient. Not much gets in the cable but do it over a couple days and it will be good as new. The coolant keeps the cable from rusting out again. But it only last so long so it is good to top up once in a while.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3
