    how much water

Had the boat out wakeboarding today for about 2 hours, 2005 22v, happened to look in the back and the water was splasing onto the carpeting in the rear on both sides of the motor, I quickly put the bilge pump on and it took about 5 minutes to get the water out.
    1. Do these have auto bilges?

    2. the boat has the PSS dripless shaft seal should i still be taking on water, Bilge was bone dry when i started.

I checked and the heater hose wasnt leaking nor were any hoses attached to the motor. Luckily i checked and turned on the bilge or we would have been low riding.

Any suggestions on the leak and why no auto bilge.

    Thanks,

Do you have a ballast system? One of the connections might have a leak... Also... sorry gotta ask... did you have the plug in?
If its not fun, Why do it?

Check all the running gear, ballast and thru hull fittings, and the shaft as well. One thing you can do is while on the trailer fill up the bilge with water (not a whole lot) and see if anything leaks through.

It should have auto bilge being an 05 but you never know. Also it may not have been high enough to pump or pump long enough to get it out. You could always buy a new or second pump if your worried.

All Tige boats have auto bilges. One thing that happened to me is that one of my nylon drain plugs broke off and started leaking water into the bilge. This one was on the engine block. Might want to check those.

I would check the ballast pumps if it has a ballast sys. the nipples crack and leak. The PSS is pretty bullet proof and should not be leaking.Yes it should have an auto bildge. If the pump works on manual check the fuse for the auto portion over at the battery there will be a brown/red wire with an inline fuse about 6 inches away from the positive battery terminal. If the pump does not work in manual or auto then the pump is most likely you culprit. But that is way to much water to be taking on and you need to find the source of the leak for sure.

thanks for the advice, yes the drain plug is in and i have no ballast tanks, i will run the fake a lake and check around the motor, already filled the hull out of the water and no leaks, so it leads me to believe either the shaft on the prop is leaking or one of my plugs on the motor.

this is the best site for quick responses,

            thanks

Also, do you have a heater? Do you know if it was winterized properly?
