Congratulations on your move. Would make it easier being closer to the lake. I drove nearly 500 miles to buy my boat there and I would definitely do it again. They were the most knoweldgeable, largest selection and easiest to work with. Would definitely do it again, and will in approx 6 years.

Spellchecker should be automatic. It is bad enough that I can't spell, but to misspell the word knowledgeable is an extra kick in the pants, especially when my mom and wife are both english teachers.

Yes there were several dealers closer, but they did not have the boat per se that I was looking for, but the main reason, I called them and they came off as more salesman and less boater than I was looking for. Don't get me wrong they were very nice and informed but, alot of thier information was from being told, not from expirence. Then I came across Texas Tige, they had the boats with the options that I wanted, called up just to get some price ideas, talked to Steve Parkin for nearly 35 minutes on boating, boat set up, very technical questions about the boat manufacturing process and running hardware. Called again a few days and talked again 30 plus minutes. Being a first time boat buyer, I was very ignorant so I spent nearly 4 years researching and going to forums and boat show before I made my decision of the best boat for me. Steve and Brandon were very straightforward and honest and actually know about the boat as well as other boats. To me I would pay more for knowledgeable staff than to save myself a trip, mainly I know if I ever have an issue with the boat, I can call them and get an accurate answer.
They gave me a good competitive price, but educated me more in the 2 hours when they did a comprehensive over view of the boat when I picked it up, then I learned from my research for the last 4 or so years.

All that being said, driving 500 miles for the first time pulling a boat in torrential rain from Houston to north of Dallas was an expirence, that I never want to do again. Of course by the time I made it home I felt like a season trailering pro. Especially now that I have to back it up into dry storage after every trip with only 1.2 ft of clearance on either side.

If you ever want a technical question answered in a straightforward way, call them, I am sure they can help.
