2008 Tige Reunion in TX! - No help from Tige?

So I am a new Tige owner and have been eagerly awaiting the 2008 Tige Reunion! After taking my Tige in for some work, I ask about the 2008 reunion and I was told, they are not having one this year do to the lack of support from Tige! What's up with that! The boat is built in Texas and sold in Texas and there is no party??

Yes, Tige stepped up with a few things for our reunion last weekend but sales for boats are WAY down.

Not sure about all that since they are typically not done by the Manufacturer, but by the local dealers. Tige did did contribute to ours with some great stuff Our Rep was heavily involved with the planning of both of ours, call and ask him about it. My dealer was thrilled to have a Tige owner (me) take the bull by the horns and run with it. Got the inspiration from Talltigeguy and the 1st Cold Water

We just had our 2nd Tige Owners day last month and had a great turn out.

I may have to go to that one. I always have a good time at the one the Ski Dock puts on, but they have skipped years in the past.

I think their sales are down and they have fewer people to help organize it.

That is what I was told that Ski Dock wasn't going to do one this year because they weren't getting any help from Tige. So maybe Ski Dock is just not willing to put one on this year!

Well, the guy that used organize them, left. My guess is that if we got enough people together, they would support us. It takes a little bit of work to pull one together, just ask talltigeguy.

I would just like to say that Mike, Tony, Lew and anyone else (that I am not sure of) put on a great reunion. We had a great time, props to you guys, especially you Mike. Thanks for doing it. I didn't take to many pictures, only got one of our little boy sleeping on the boat. This is for when he get older and I need black mail stuff. We get pics of him sleeping everywhere we go. That should make a good slideshow someday. LOL. It was a great day.

                          The Ski Dock Tige Reunion

Unfortunately it looks like we will not be putting on a Tige reunion this year. We are fortunate however to be in Texas where sales have still been strong and people are still enjoying the lakes. Our decision to skip a year with the Tige reunion was based on scheduling conflicts that were outside of our control. Between the Austin Boat Show “Summer Sales Event” and all of our various dealer meetings we did not feel that we could put on a Tige Reunion with the same effort that everyone has come to expect.

As for Tige, the 09 models are going to start rolling in soon and they look phenomenal. We think this is going to be the best year yet for Tige. Thanks again to all of our Tige customers for their ongoing support.

Hey, if we, as Tige owners, can get something going, would you support us? Maybe we can figure out something in conjunction with Waketoberfest or another event.

Dog's got the right idea, you dont need a dealer to day and event. There's enough people around with all dinds of contacts for location, door prizes, etc. I dont think most owners would mind paying a small reg fee to cover the costs knowing it was not dealer sponsored.
