Lake Mead Tige Owners reunion 2008!!!!!!!!!!

Time to start thinking about next year.

My kids have school off October 16 and 17, and since I am organizing this thing, that looks like a perfect weekend to get this done.

This thread is for general brainstorming of what to do and how to do it.

I am for sure camping out again unless the weather looks terrible.

I hope we can get a pro there from Tige.

I wonder if we can get the Boats of Nevada guys there for Friday as well. I never got to ride in the RZ4.

I would like to do another stereo display. I think a lot of people enjoyed it, but I do not want to make it overburdensome for the non-fanatics. I think choosing the judges beforehand would be good, for a start.
    Be excellent to one another.

I'm gonna pencil it in for us

As far as I know, Chris Bischoff is still the man to go to about scheduling the Pro Riders. The earlier this is done, the better chance you will have to get one. Matt may have the most pull here as the dealer, but if you wanted to send Chris an email yourself, let me know and I can PM you with it. If all goes well, we will have Cathy Williams at the boat show in Feb, and back again in June for our 2nd reunion.

Sounds great but Lake Mead is too far a haul for me.

        Tall,
Do you know what the water\weather is like at lake Mead in mid to late March. I have never been to lake Mead and we are planning a vacation there. So what is the water like and is it a busy lake?

I started my season this year in March. The water was actually pretty nice, probably in the 60s, not summer temps, but with a shorty wetsuit I was comfortable.
          Honey I'm home!

Our crew started on St. Patty's day this year...no wet suits so it was pretty chilly. The good thing is that no one else is out there.

I'm in and will probably be up for camping as well. We'll see how good I am in convincing my wife in this. Regarding the stereo contest here are my suggestions: I think that it should be a fun thing and not take it too serious. Set it up with everybody understanding what the judging criteria will be:

                  (examples)
                  Loudest
                  Most clear
                  Best back up dancers
                  Most balanced
                  Best cheering from the crowd
                  etc...

Give up to four stars for each category and then have the judges add up the stars at the end.

The winner receives the coveted "Tige" Cup (a fake lake plunger?) which is given out again the next year.

Given that you are on this site on New Year's Eve...you better stop the internet surfing and get back in bed!

So I mean the weekend of the 18th looks good.

I think the T-shirts were cool and am wearing mine right now. I would love to delegate that to someone else if anyone wants to volunteer. Maybe one of you has a background that would be nice for that?

Please do that. I think it won't be hard to get one to come this year. We had Adam Errington 2 years ago in November and I think it was a hard sell when people were thinking it would be 50 degrees and 62 degree water. Now that most people realize that the average high is around 80 and the water is a nice 70+, they should be willing to get this done.

I think Moki has the the right idea with the "trophy". This makes it all for fun and bragging rights and not for a monetary prize.
