    Contaminated Gasoline,,

A recent online conversation with the La Paz Sheriffs office got us the info that the Parker Oil Gas Station in Parker has recently had, and may still have contaminated gasoline.

That is as good source as any. It's them saying it not me.

They sell at a few cents a gallon cheaper than the other stations in Parker.
Ya might wanna avoid that temptation.

    In addition:

The Arco gas station will not charge you a service fee if you use your ATM card to fill up.
It's the only Arco in the chain that doesn't charge an ATM fee says the Sheriff.
But the pumps can be goofy to operate, so be patient (I'm the last guy who should be preaching patient).

We really put out Tige' in Corona to deal with minor teething pains in our new 22i, and do we ever appreciate the good service.
Damn,, they're good to us, and everyone else too.
Again, patience. Good service takes a good amount of time. And loosen up tightwads & pay for it.

    Furthur on:

The Terrible Herbst gas station has tricky entrance and exit islands, so eyes wide open pulling your rig in and leaving.
Most of us have nice Extreme trailers and ya can crunch them if you're napping says the Sheriff.

Woodies gas station, in route to the Bluewater, formerly the Chevron, usually has the same prices as Terribles, and much easier to negotiate a Boat trailer.
The coin op wash at Woodies usually doesn't work. Get your refund at the gas station.

I like this idea...owners giving advice about certain locations we frequent. Post about gas locations, favorite restaurants, etc so we can all be informed....post on!

    Ambivalent? Yes. Or Not.

Their are several floating & dockside restaurants along the Parker Strip.
You can easily get gel coat damage tieing up to them.

The best glass and gell and graphic shop I've ever seen in my decades of boating is Tige' in Corona. Fair priced as well.

So if you do take on a fracture or two,, ya gotta a friend in the glass biz.

Fox's floating Bar and restaurant has an excellent kitchen, but hours can vary.
Usually dinner on Fri and Sat, Breakfast Sat and Sunday.
We like the steak and crab legs, but the whole menu is very good.

Always a mellow crowd, rarely any trouble. If a band is playing, it's always a good one.
Owned and operated by offroad racing champ Spencer Lowe and his wife Kathy.

Mudslides are the house drink. Add Reeses Peanut Butter cup blended in & it's a Flying Hamster (bat guano).

You may get dock rash on your gell coat at Foxs, the river is rough, dock moves alot at this stretch. Good place for shop worn Pontoon boats to tie up But a nice Tige?,,, You make the call.
Remember no speed limits at nite on Parker. Some super boats may pass by and set off a big wake to slam ya against the dock.

Roadrunner Bar and Grill seems to always be open.
"River Food" that fills your gut.
After sundown, not unusual that one very drunk group get into a throw with another group.

Badenochs; the first river grill on your right heading up to the dam from the Hotel is a Wakeboarder/skiers kinda place.
A poker faced anti social crowd, good food, clean atmosphere, good service, usually closed by the late afternoon, but not always.
