    Best Lake Mead Landing

Wondering what the consensus is on the best part of Lake Mead to get the boat in and out and why? It will make my demos smoother.

Good question! I was just going to ask!

Well, I have never put in at Callville, so I can't speak about that ramp (although I know that they just upgraded it for the low lake level). Between Hemenway and Boulder Harbor, I would suggest Boulder Harbor. The Hemenway ramp is at a very shallow angle and really requires that you back your tow vehicle way into the water in order to get your trailer deep enough. Boulder Harbor is better in that regard, in addition to being less busy.

As far as smoother water to demo boats, if there is any wind whatsoever, you will want to launch out of Callville as the water from Heminway to the damn and middle of the virgin basin gets very rough with anything over 10 knots coming from the south or southeast.

The logistics of launching at Callville are more involved with having to park the trailers on the top of the hill, but there are golf carts available to run you you there.

Heminway harbor has the best parking, but as mentioned above the launch ramp is at a shallow angle but not a problem if you have a decent truck.
