Lake Coeur d'Alene is big enough that it seems to attract the folks who are obsessed with speed to the exclusion of most else. My brother is currently watching the used boat market and has seen ads that read "fastest boat on the lake" and "LOUDEST boat on the lake", so there are definitely some different goals amongst different boat owners...!
