Thank you for those who completed the recent 2021 Tige Owners Reunion survey. We advertised on the Tige Owners forum, the West Coast Tige Owners Reunion Facebook page, and the West Coast Tige Owners Instagram page to maximize our participation rate. We received 28 responses. To avoid any conflict of interest, the coordinators did NOT participate in the survey. We have provided a brief summary of those responses here;- 100% of the survey respondents indicated their willingness to pay a $15 registration fee. We will start collecting in a few months.
- When asked what color everyone would like to see for the event tee-shirt, it came down to 3 colors, with a clear leader. Those colors are Carolina Blue, Atomic Blue, and Black. I will leave everyone in suspense for a little bit on which color won. Someone asked why white was not an option. We did white in 2018. We’ve been trying to change it up every year.
- When asked “We are considering a group picture of everyone at the outdoor wedding venue (next to the banquet hall) before the dinner and raffle. Would this be something you would be interested in?” more than 74% liked the idea. This will be in addition to the group boat photo (for those that expressed concerns in the comments section).
- More than 82% respondents chose “the friendships (new or old) and camaraderie of other Tige Boat Owners” as the primary reason they are interested in attending the reunion.
- When asked what returning boat owners would like to see less of in 2021, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 91%.
- When asked what returning boat owners would like to see more of in 2021, the leading response was “nothing, the event has been stellar” at 44%. A few of the write in recommendations included; Move to hotel close to the canal like the Holiday Inn. Response; Thanks for the feedback, but this location won out on recommendations on a previous year’s survey. We believe most in this group prefer the isolation. The event weekend to start on a Thursday to have more time visiting with everyone and tie up to be longer as well as a more structured formal meet and greet idea would be a pool party doing this and hours at pool to be longer. Many of us arrive as early as Tuesday! The tie up ends when people start leaving, coordinators never mentioned an end time. We will be changing the meet and greet for sure. Stay tuned. Two more hours in the pool Friday night! We are working on this – no guarantees though!
- More than 82% were willing to volunteer for the event. THANK YOU! It sure helps the volunteer coordinators out a ton when others are willing to pitch in. Simply put, we couldn’t do this without you.
- When provided the open-ended question of “if you could implement or change one thing (good or bad) at the event, what would it be?” we received 20 responses. Some noteworthy responses included; If you could put a call in to the wind gods and kill the wind that would be awesome. I know you have pull Dave. We will be addressing this with the man upstairs! LOL I would like to see for first time attendees to be introduce themselves maybe a meet and greet. Maybe when the shirts get handed out. We considered this the best idea submitted! Consider it done! Music was a bit too loud. We agree. Noted! Awards for best in show, stereo, best in class, best interior/exterior, ext. We had contests in the past – they were resoundingly voted out with responses from one of these surveys.

The survey results are in! The most requested color for this years event logo was “Carolina Blue”. The logo and event shirts will be this color. The event sweatshirts may be a slight variation of this color. We will take those orders at a later date!
As volunteer coordinators, we are now taking donations (in any amount) for this year’s Tige Reunion at Havasu Springs, September 17-19, to offset some of the administration fees (postage for 150+ potential sponsor letters, thank you cards to sponsors, postage for sponsors event tee-shirts, etc.) associated with coordinating such a large event. We are asking everyone to “register” for Saturday nights dinner along with your donation. We will need the Tige boat owners name, whether or not you plan on bringing your boat, and how many will be in your party. If you do not register, you will not be allowed to enter the banquet hall. If you are interested in attending the tie-up, but not the dinner/main event Saturday evening, no registration is necessary. We will be registering everyone using a first come, first served approach. We will CLOSE registration once we reach capacity of the banquet hall. Please do not register your guests who are still undecided on attending! They could potentially stop another Tige Owner from attending.
Donations can be made via Paypal (davidwpowell2@verizon.net), Venmo (@David-Powell-52), or Zelle (951-760-3296).
Thank you!

We have 38 Boat Owners and 176 guests registered for this years event! We have 23 confirmed sponsors. Both lists are growing almost daily! If you have not registered for the event, you will not be admitted into the banquet hall for the dinner/raffle. We have to provide Havasu Springs an accurate number of reserved guests in advance. Lastly, we want to THANK those who donated money to the event. We are VOLUNTEER coordinators, and we truly appreciate those who are helping us offset some of our administrative expenses. Please send an email to davidwpowell2@verizon.net if you have any questions. 173 days until the 16th Annual West Coast Tige Owners Reunion.
