I haven't, but my experience with boards with a tapered tail, they are usually slower. Work great in the ocean, but behined a boat, you need more of a hefty tail, and no tail rocker. That is why you see a funky shape coming out of the best wakesurf boards, like Walker Project, ShredStixx and Inland Surfer.

      Definitely a cool looking board.

Ragboy - what's the weather out there this week? Pack a parka or swimsuit?

Jean - why not bring the all-in-one parkini?

I think it is supposed to be low 80s with 7mph winds. Pretty nice out.

Definitely will know the weather outlook in a day or two. lately, the weather looks good only to have the 3-4 days before you plan something show that it's not going to be good.

So far, low 80s, chance of rain on sunday, crossing fingers for no rain.

                I love the parkini.

I don't think I can find that wardrobe piece in Texas, Ragboy.

Some more information on the festival, and what we are working on with the live webcast. If you are in the area, show up!

                      Ragboy,
This looks like it will be a great event... but I was wondering if this a "family friendly" spectating event? Also, is it okay to anchor and watch from your boat or do you recommend watching from shore. Thanks!

Yes, it will be family friendly. Of course, something could get out of hand, and I may not get to it immediately, but I am all about family friendly, and every wakesurf event I have been at has been ok with my kids. Sometimes they have a party at night, but we aren't having that, they may have some fun bat at the campgrounds late, but I will make sure its all good.

The funny thing is, when we did this at the NorthWest event in seattle, we were broadcasting live, but it was jumpy, not smooth, yet it was the best seat in the house. People were huddling around a small TV on shore for the best seat. A few people were in the water, in their boats, and had laptops with 3G cards in them, and were actually watching the computer feed, and not the surfboat as it passed directly in front of them.

We will be streaming a smooth 480x360 stream, falling back to 320x240, using ustream. You can even watch from you iphone if you download the free ustream viewer. It works via 3G, and there is a decent 3G signal at the lake, but its better on the shore, than in the water.

Hope to see you there. Oh, you may watch from the water, as long as you are no wake in the contest cove.

We will be a Vasa campground this year for the competition unless it is a rain out.
