Wakeboard Championship Nationals - Oklahoma City, OK - July 8-12
If you are going to the Wakeboard Championship Nationals in Oklahoma City this weekend, be sure to cheer for Tige Team riders: Nick Weinacker, Daniel Watkins, Tino Santori and Erik Ruck.
Oklahoma City to Host 2009 WWA Wakeboard Nationals
For the first time in its nearly 20-year existence, the Air Nautique WWA Wakeboard National Championships, presented by ROCKSTAR will be held in Oklahoma City, Okla. Event organizer World Sports & Marketing announced today the 2009 WWA Wakeboard Nationals will be held on the Oklahoma River in Oklahoma City on July 8-12.
“Hundreds of the best riders from all over the United States compete at the Nationals every year and we feel that Oklahoma is a central location that would attract more riders to participate,” said Sean Dishman of World Sports & Marketing. “Oklahoma City has hosted some top contests in the past, from the Pro Tour to the World Championships, and has a lot to offer athletes, their families, fans and sponsors.”

It looks like it is being held in the spill way. That is a concrete river of sorts were it has become extremely popular with rowing. Since they can control the hieght and the flow rate of the water and make it very constant year round, the US olympic team is building a row house as well as 4 others were being built on it last year. Did not know it was deep enough, but I am sure they let more water in, the good thing is that there would be no effect by the wind. Water is dark as mud though.
The worst day of boating is still the better than the best day of work......, unless you bend your prop.
Congrats to Team Tigé at the Wakeboard Nationals this weekend. Adam Errington clinched the #1 position in Finals on Sunday with a score of 92.25. Second place score was 10 points behind him at 82.25.
Other Team Tige riders, Nick Weinacker and Erik Ruck also made it to the finals round!
