New Tige Owner - TAPS Guage Question
I recently purchased a 2001 20i with about 450 hrs and the Merc 350 MPI. Have not had it on the water yet but can't wait. I did have to have the packing replaced, cost me $60. The only issue I have noticed is that the TAPS gauge reads backwards. When the plate is down for wakeboarding it shows in the slalom position. Has anyone noticed this problem?

Plate down is for skiing, plate up is for wakeboarding, sounds like its correct! The funny thing is, mine is backwards. Up when the gauge shows 0, down when the gauge shows 7 (or 8). I learned to live with it.
It's probably as simple as swapping 2 wires, I just don't know which ones.Comment

Maybe you guys could help me also...My taps gauge doesnt work at all? Any ideas of where to start looking for the problem?
If anybody needs a switch for the TAPS in the throttle, I had to order 1 today and they sent me 20, since that was the minimum qty to buy.Comment

I will assume the taps is working now?
