Impressions of our new 22i over our 2003 iR

Differences over the past 2003 Tige' we had are the new steering is much improved over the old style. Way crisper response.

The 340 HP Marine Power has much more noticable & useable power than the 315 Merc and was $5000 less money than the Scorpion. Housing up-front for easy change-out of the pick up pump impeller. Sturdier oil filter platform too. Same GM Vortec block, Merc is approaching priced-out status in addition to poor dealer support anymore IOHO's.

Hull bottom shape improvements for an even better ride in chop, and a larger cleaner wake (on demand).

Interior much plusher, though several punctures in the vinyl before delivery. Hope this doesn't become an issue with us and Tige' to get resolved like in the past

Drip moulded graphics a big plus.

Tige' speed control streets ahead of the Perfect Pass system. Way better.
Much larger gauges, excellent gauges too. Both the analog and digital much easier to read.

TAPS faster response for wake control.
Overall fit and finish and trim improved.

The Xplosion tower has put Phatt Buddie out of business and we can see why. Excellent design.

Das German ZF trans seems smoother shifting & maybe less slip underway than the Merc Velvet drive.

Extreme has really improved their trailers.
The E series lower profile 90 psi x-tra wide tires are a huge improvement in towing too. And overall the trailer seems better built over the Extreme '03.

Big difference in towing. Really surprising. Can't even tell it's back there. Blindsided us. Just overall nice to pull.

We had a mud storm last nite at the Colorado River.
    Never seen that before.
Just enough red dust and mist in the air to creat mud flying at 60 MPH.
Everyones RVs and boats & tow vech looked like we had a strawberry pie fight last nite.
    All clean now.

Our RV trailer slide-out broke away from the main trailer frame.
A forum member sent us to a shop in Havasu for repairs.

Excellent, supurb work. The shop very accessable for RV's.
    $175. A bargain & they re-inforced it too.
It was a MFSOB of a job to do.

Anyone that owns a Fleetwood RV with the flat cog and gear mechanicals on the slide outs can expect this issue.
    A limp weiner design.
Weld shops aren't real keen about this kind of work, so it's cash, no recipt, no bitching.
Fine with me. Just glad they were willing to take the job.

          Thanks everyone.
The tower has some excellent features.
Where it connects at the fold down points, the Dove-tailed the fit.
          I mean this is excellent.
Also, the pivot points are chamfered for smooth travel.
          No rattling what so ever.
          A great tower.
          The boat seels light.
