I tested the 21i this weekend. Very nice boat. Plenty of power yanking me out of the hole. The wake is really wide, but relatively flat with taps all the way down. I had a problem getting outside the wake but there was very little prop wash so I just stood up behind the boat. No problem. No spray off the boom. It definitly foots.

We purchased the 22i and are very happy with it, the seating layout was excellent and power plant was the 340 hp vortec, plenty of pull from the hole and top speed was 47+mph, we have skiied and wakeboarded and surfed on it, a great all around boat. we havent barefooted (Yet) but would like to learn, im sure this would be a great boat for that too, do you have any tips for beginner barefooters? Whats the easiest way to learn? have been wanting to barefoot since I was a kid, whats the trick??

I'm in the same boat, no pun intended but damn it would be a good one. The wife is pushing for a boom, but I'm pushing for a ballast system. B.O.A.T. I might know how to get us some lessons, if he still does that.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Toes up! That's the best tip you'll ever get!

Oh, and if the water is spraying directly into your crotch, you are doing it wrong

Learn how to tumble when you fall. Get a boom too, makes it easier.
