The '04 22i will have a notched hole for a 10" sub already in the drivers kick panel, if you press on it towards the bottom and the cover for the steering cable you should feel the notches. You can cut the carpet with a knive, peel off, then cut Penske board with a saw.

one thing to keep in mind is that the stock sub in the kick panel is an open air sub (ment to be w/o a box). if the sub your using isn;t an open air sub, it will sound really bad (technical term). If your putting in a high quality sub, you will still need to build a box. Calrions open air sub (the stock one) actually does pretty good for an open air, but box subs sound much better/harder.

I'm actually using a JL WO3 so I will still need to build a box.. I might just hook it up and see how it sounds without one... then if it sounds like crap I'll build one for the back side of the kickpanel.

Yeah I went with a built box on the inside of the kick panel. It thumps!!

My second battery installed by Tige' Watersports is under the middle of the observers seat towards the Starboard or drivers side of the seat. Or the part where the walkthrough is to the bow. It's not a liftable cusion. I guess they unbolted the seat and placed it there, or maybe they can slide it into place through the storage area behind the observers seat storage area. I will have to check.
