yeah 40/60 is the general consensus. 22i's are weird with weight so i thought it'd be fun to start testing the different ideas i have come across over the years. right now i've got a setup that allows easy movement of weight and isn't set in stone. we're basically just goofing around with it and mocking up what we want to do before we permanently plumb in a 3 or 4 tank ballast system. i'm going to have custom fatsacs made for it and don't want to spend the money until i get it to perform exactly how i want it with my old mobile stuff. the 50/50 setup is something i had heard about but hadn't seen tested so we tried it the other day. basically it works alright but it didn't perform nearly as well as the 40/60. now that i know what it looks like at 50/50 and 40/60 i'm going to fine tune and get something nice out of it. if all goes well it'll make for a fun ballast install this summer. next time out i'll snap pics of it at 40/60 and whatever else we do. we're shooting for a 2000lbs ballast on an i-drive that will rival the big bad v's. the last time i took it out with 1600lbs set to 40/60 we out did weighted wakesetters. we'll see what happens with 40/60 at 2000lbs sometime soon. :-) i heart convex v's.
