I know this isn’t a tige but for surfing I would recommend looking at Calabria xts sport. A friend of mine owned one and has it dialed in for surfing and it was amazing

I had a fat seat in the back about 1300lbs and a slight list to surf side with people weight and a homemade wakeshaper

Don't be afraid of the flatbottoms. The hulls make a great wake shape. I've been using a suck gate for the last two years with some decent success. We're still working on new ones and I like the latest one the best. The port wave is respectable but a little finicky. The starboard wave is always good. It seems to love everything you can throw at it. Almost impossible to **** up. I've surfed the port side with no ballast and no crew on a gen1 Landlock. To be fair I had a 12er and a bag of ice in a cooler on that side. Other than that, just my future wife driving. The point is, the wake is in there. It just takes the captain to beef it up.

Anyways, they're not surf boats. They're low, wide, and flat. Long considered the exact opposite recipe of a good surf boat. Much more a slalom boat than anything. The fattest, heaviest slalom boat ever made. A 22' tracking ball crusher. That makes them a little more user friendly for everyday life though. They're really roomy and comfortable for a d-drive. My back seat is literally 6' across. You can spend all day on the boat and not be crammed in. We run a crew of ~8, 1/2 of them kids pretty much every time out no problem. The trunk will hold (you other owners correct me please) around 500lbs? Pretty decent. I think you could increase that with a custom sac. That would be a cheap custom sac too. Simple rectangle. I bet you could get 550 across the back. That plus the fuel tank and the sheer weight of the hulls make for some decent displacement.

The hulls are super thick. Basically built the same as an offshore race boat of the day. Bulletproof. That was a major selling point Tige advertised back then. We've seen it time and again from ballast threads on here how thick the dropouts from the thru-hulls are. As long as the hulls are properly maintained, they'll last forever. The floors and stringers are wood. Same deal. As long as they are properly maintained, they'll last forever.

So the old tiges and supra sunsports are what I should be looking for? Any other good wakesurf boats under 15k? I heard malibu lx is good too..anyothers ???thanks!

I'm not sure what else your looking for as an answer. You've got some pretty good recommendations here and I'm assuming your one of the guys on Wakeworld asking the same question and getting the same answer (Sunsport or Tige). I hope that doesn't come across as rude but your not going to get a pile of recommendations for a surf boat in that price range because there just aren't that many that do it well especially compared to a Vdrive.

Not at all rude...I just want to make sure what I'm getting we'll surf since it's a big desision and investment!so now I know the two best options are tige and supra sunsports. Thanks everyone!chime in any last things if u want!
