I have a small leak that seems to be coming from the back side of the fiberglass exhaust tube. I have just dealt with it by pumping bilge water for a couple seasons and thinking about a more permanent fix. I can't get to the hose clamps to tighten it up due to the fuel tank.
I think I remember reading that some have replaced the fiberglass tubes with stainless ones. Is this an option? It looks like a straight tube... Any downsides to replacing with stainless?
Do these leaks get progressively worse/am I risking a major event by putting this off?
Also, how big of job is it to pull the fuel tank? I have ballast pumps and a shower pump that I'll need to pull which lengthens the job.
