Just broke one of the engine cover struts on my 04 22i and thought I'd replace both. Hit Napa but they needed to know the weight rating which I didn't know and couldn't decipher any information on the strut itself. Anyone know the weight or replacement part #

Most of these gas shocks have a part number printed right on them. Google that and you'll get its specs, or probably NAPA can cross reference it. For your marine application it's a good idea to get the stainless version unless you want to be replacing it again.

Try and avoid getting the wrong weight rating as best as possible got mine a little too strong and the hatches will pop open if not buckled down under the right conditions very annoying. Recommend ordering in a couple different weights and trying them out if can't find the rating otherwise.Comment
