20i Loose tower ... Help!!

Hi guys, I just bought an 03' 20i and it came stock with a tower that folds back onto the engine cover. The problem is that the tower rattles badly even with every bolt/screw tightened. Has anyone encountered this? I would like to figure out a way to add some rubber washers or something in between hinges, but I can't find anything that will work. Also, I heard something about compact lead weights that can be put where you want, has anyone found a good place to buy something like this?

Can you post a pic of the tower?

A good place for lead is a tire shop. ask them for their used tire weights. Ammo cans from an Army surplus store make great containers.

I have 03 20i....it shakes...I just make sure it is tight all the time. check your racks to see if they are loose too...mine used to all the time on my 03 tower and it actually broke and then they gave me an 04 tower much better than the 03.
if your looking to weight the 20i, I use fly high vdrives on the sides of motor and then a 600 in the nose....it really elevates the wake, just be carefull on the slow down and let the wave pass and then turn around or you will be eating water w/the weight confirguration.

I have an 04 20i with the factory tower and I have complained about since I bought the boat. The noises it makes when it shakes are absolutly horrible. Everyone that rides in my boat ask if that is normal and I make up some laim excuse for it. I love everything about my 20i but Tige did not seem to care too much about their tower. I complained everytime I had my boat serviced and nothing was ever done to fix the problem.

what type of tower do you guys have? My 03 is a rat cage made by wake design and I have been really pleased with it. It really doesn't move much (2-3 inches in chop) and that is with my four entity NVS speakers up there weighing in at around 40 lbs per set. I even get up and dance on the tower on some weekends.

I really love the tower really.

Don't take this the wrong way. But it's one of the reasons I'm not married. Not until I find a girl like my friend, she of course is married, but she gets more boobs then most guys

You would be amazed how the boob business picks up when you are married and you hang out with married couples. They start flying around everywhere and you can't control 'em. They're knocking drinks over and causin' accidents. It's silly I tell ya.
