At least that's the way I always felt. I still think the 22i handles better than the 22V.

But we bought the V. Couldn't get around the motor box issue,

Good point! The DD's don't roll in turns like a V-hull does. Isn't that the difference between the I and the I/R (the latter having more of a V-hull)?

With the center of gravity right in the middle of the boat they do handle like a slot car. Although, my 4000lb. 22i does not handle quite like an LXI or a Prostar. It's no slalom specific boat. What it will do though is handle the big water with the best of 'em as well as pull me through the coarse with a respectable wake. Some times you need to plow the rough stuff to get the good stuff.
