    TAPS

I just bought a 2004 21I. I have two questions......1. how much water should I be expelling via the bilge pump after two hours in the water. 2. Does the TAPS get set on slalom or wakeboard for just cruising around ?

sounds like maybe your prop shaft seal(shaft packing) is bad... or it needs to be tightened the nut on it... or replace the shaft packing go to www.skidim.com and you can get some. should be 2-3 drips every few seconds or so... probably slalmom for just crusing.. should mean the plate is down if I recall.

After 2hrs.? Not enough to pump.

You should cruise with just a tick of "down plane". Taps on 3-3 1/2. That's enough to keep the boat from porpoising but not enough to create a bunch of drag. If its really rough, I set taps on 1 and let the entry V slice through the waves.

Taps is something you learn to use constantly to adjust to any given condition. After a while it becomes second nature.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
