Prop shaft mis-aligned?

Hey guys I am going to try my best to explain my problem,


I have a 2000 21i and I was under the boat today when working on the trailer and I noticed the propeller shaft is not entering the boat straight. It is sits off to the left enough to where it is almost touching the bronze through hull.

I am supposed to take it on vacation on wednesday!

I can tell you my experience, which might not help. Last summer I hit a stump (or something). Continued using the boat over the weekend and could tell there was a vibration. Upon pulling the boat out I noticed the same thing, shaft was favoring one side and almost touching the brass colar. Took it to the shop and they had to replace the shaft along with the rudder. Now the shaft is dead center in the middle.

Thanks, I don't think I hit anything but there is definitely a shutter now especially when getting up to plane.

Atleast I can use it though.. phew
