In the meantime, before you rebuild the carb, you could run a richer-than-usual mixture of Seafoam in the fuel tank. Seafoam will clean things in the fuel system. Most fuel additives are a joke, but Seafoam actually works.

No chemical process is a substitute for a proper carb rebuild, though. Get the kit and I bet you'll be amazed how much better your engine runs.
