    Weighting your 22i's

I'm looking at '03 and '04 22i's. Are you guys weighting these much? If yes, are you primarily using the gull wing compartments in the back? Bags (plumbed) or free weight? I'd like to eliminate weight on the floor if possible.

How about passengers - do you move them to the half moon seats toward the rear v. the bench behind the windshield?

    Thanks

I have a '04 22i and just use lead distributed 40% up front and 60% in back, it's only 325 lbs. total but works well. As far as people go I usually put them where ever as long as they are even left to right. And I have noticed that the more people that are in the boat the wake get's more of a lip.

I have an 02' and I know there are some hull differences, but I weight my boat with a sac in each rear side. These sacs are 350 pound v-drive sacs.

I added a water inlet in the hull and a pump for wach sac. In addition, I added a second pump and an outlet in the side hull to get rid of the water. They empty and fill in 5 minutes. They are both wired to the dash panel. I replaced two switches on the panel that were not in use for the pumps, using two DPDT switches.

I also have some 1gal poly gas gans with lead reclaimed shot. These are about 50Lbs each. I use them to adjust the weight so the people in the boat can sit where they want. I also have a sac I sometimes use in the front between the seats. This one I have to fill and empty manually. This sac is also a V-drive Sac.

      My wake is very sweet.

Thanks - who makes the 'V Drive' sacks and do you know the dimensions of them?

If I would buy today, I would buy Fly High Pro X series sacs. They come in a pair for about 199. There are other companies too.

          Dimensions (each): 16 in. x 16 in. x 42 in.

The conform to the space in your side lockers.

Those 16x16 bags sound good. I can't remember exactly how much depth is in the rear lockers (I'm picking up an '05 22i leftover on 11/5), but I imagine you still have room in there for some shiz when the bags are full?

            Thanks, Mike

The rear lockers are very deep, after you put one of those in there, there should still be room for storage. I'd bet you could probably put two of those bags in there.

There is about 8-10 inches left when my sac is full. I use it for vests for all the riders. I would not try to put another sac in there.
