Seat vinyl on 20i

I have an '02 20i. I have used nothing but 303 products on the interior, and always keep a cover on it, yet this summer the vinyl on the rear seat cushion started to split where the stitching goes lengthwise across it. I expected to get a lot more than 4 years out of my interior. Has anyone else seen this on their boat, or know what can be done to prevent this in the future? We also have an old '89 Larson Senza, and the vinyl still isn't splitting on that.

i have a 2000 20ci, and on all of the interrior panals the vinal has split at the seam, although the boat is getting reupolsterd as we speak, i would tell you why it happens but i really dont know the answer... mabie a differnt kind of stiching materal that has less strain factors than othere materals.... i dont really know why/how it happend to my boat because i bought the boat used w/ the interrior like it is.

I don't know why it happens, but I wish I did. The stitching started coming apart on my 01 23V this summer. Like you, I've always used 303 products and keep the boat covered.
