Tige 20i Tach issues.. Mini MMDC

Anyone have issues with their tach quitting? I think my Medallion MMDC is going bad. The tach and the hour meter quit.

Maybe it's the 2700 lbs of ballast you stuff in at 2600 lb boat, Shel?

I ordered an Mini MMDC. Along with the new prop... this fixes EVERYTHING in the Tige. It's gonna be rockin'..... (then Im selling it and buying an 80 mph Cole Superhawk... lol)

Nah, it's only around 1700lbs of ballast

From the pic I saw.. looked like it was TOO DAMNED MUCH.

I dont think yours has an MMDC... your speedo is pitot tube. Mine is flapper wheel and digital read.

The part is about $450, but I found one on ebay. The guy didnt know what he had and I talked him outa it for 20 bucks. If it works then great... if not, I'm gonna live without a tach.

I had one that was giving me issues and last wkend I pulled the tube of the back and blew through it and it worked the rest of the wkend.

mine just failed too, tach was moving erratic then just reset to 0 hours and now resets every 10. did you purchase work? what does Tige charge for a replacement tach if that was your problem.

No... The MMDC I got didnt work. I think it was a Malibu one, and it just made all my gauges go blank. I re-installed my old one, and the tach still wont work and my hours are stuck on 20.9 still. Everything else works fine. Im having a hard time justifying the cost of a new MMDC module just to have my tach and hour meter back.
