Did you purchase an oil extractor? I was talking to my local dealer yesterday and said I could order one from them for about $300-400. Wasn't sure if there was a better method or type of oil extractor out there. I am definitely going to take your advice on trying to do the maintaince myself to save some dollars that can be used for other things the boat needs. Thanks for the advice on this.

What do you intend to use the oil extractor for? My 99 2200i with a 5.7L 315mpi has a oil drain hose that allows you to drop the hose through the hull drain and into a collection pan utilizing gravity. To drain the the engine oil it works best if the engine is warmed up, the oil flows...

Well talking to them I guess with the 2005 21i they didn't put in a drain hose. It actually is done by extracting the oil out of the dip stick tube.

My 2005 22i has a oil drain hose that drops thru the hull plug as mentioned in previous post. It's kinda hidden/layed on top on the engine maybe secured with zip ties. I would think yours would be similar.

I will look. The funny thing was that the dealer was saying I needed a special oil extractor to remove both the crank case oil as well as the transmission oil. Thanks for the heads up.
