Does anyone know about how much a 20hr service will run on a 22I, boat is still under warranty it's only 3 months old?? Im in Nevada....Thanks L

My 20 hour service was about $58 in Knoxville. I also had some warranty items taken care of at that time for which there was no charge.

The 20 hour service should involve nothing more than a good visual inspection, check drive alignment, check the drive fluids, and change the oil and filter.

My 22V with 340 MPI, perfect pass, tower, basic sound, teak platform, upgraded trailer (LED lights, fold away tongue, disk brakes on both axles, backup lights) was less than 50K out the door.

I paid $80 I think @ Custom Boat in Reno, that was with a $25 credit and a 10% discount because we bought the boat there. You should have bought there they would take care of you.

Just had my 20 hr. service done on my 05 22I. It ran me $145 here in Montana.

My dealer charges $139.00 here in Nashville. leisure, are you sure they changed all your fluids vs. just doing visual inspections?

Be sure to check. Not all dealers change all fluids at the 20hr. check.

I insisted on that. It costs extra.

We just got our 20 hr service done here in California and it cost us $300. There is only one Tige dealer in Southern California so I guess I am stuck paying through the nose for maintenance. Anyone have suggestions on other places to check for maintenance? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Well, with the way my dealer and I were getting along when my 20hr was done, I just paid the $300.00. I thought it was a little steep. There should be some guidelines on what certain routine maintenance items should run, and what should be included. The dealer on my last boat included the 20 hr service as part of buying a boat from him.

Two hours labor @ $90/hour plus $50+/parts seems to be standard price in So.Cal. for an annual service at the Merc. certified boat shops(fluids, filters, lube, check-up). A little cheaper than the $300 dealer price but I go to the dealer just for the maintenance record. After my warranty is up on the motor I will be doing it for <$50 parts myself. I don't understand why an oil and 1.5 quart transmission fluid change costs so much on a boat. They are less complicated than a automobile.

Could never justify the 300 dollars myself. After speaking to the dealer and the engine manuafacturer (MerCruiser) I have always performed the service myself with strict meticulous logs and receipts. I use synthetic Mobil 1 and after monitoring recent board discussion I will change the trans fluid with synthetic as well. Do it yourself you become very familiar with what is under the engine cover. I use the maintenance savings and dump those dollars into the gas tank.
