I am planning to purchase a 2000 Tige 21i Riders Edition this week. The boat has the 310hp Mercruiser. Is there anything specific I should be aware of with this model and year?

Do some research on this site, it's a great resource. Steering cables have been a big problem item this year. Check to see how easily it turns out of the water, if it's stiff it likely needs replacing.

Also, check for proper movement (up and down about 3 inches) on the TAPS plate, should move out of water fine (with the throttle thumb switch), if not it needs works too. Good luck..photos!!
