    How often do you bilge?

It seems as though I flip the bilge on my Switch I on about 3 times in the course of the day and pump out a fair amount. I realize the cooler is draining into the boat but its pumping out more than 2 bags of ice. Where is the water coming from?

Prop shaft seal is a good possibility.

I've never used my bilge...I hope it works .

X2 on your packing gland. You also may want to check your ballast system too.

one of my exhausts was leaking. once that was fixed, no more bilge pump needed.

Any opening through the hull is a potential source of a leak. Start with those and track that sucker down.

How many hours on boat, at about 650hrs on mine the rudder port started leaking a fare amount, due to our show skiing we had worn out the rudder port.

Dom, I have a slight leak coming from the rudder box, very slight but that's where I'm getting some water. What do you need to fix it?

My bilge has only run one time in 3 years of ownership and that was when we took on a ton (literally) of water from waves and a storm. I normally pull the drain plug and it's bone dry in there.

Me neither. My old boat didn't leak one drop of water, and neither does the new one, except from the cooler drain.

I have 170 hours on it and after reading this it's clear I have some sort of leak. Ugh!

Nope. I make everyone drip off at the back of the boat first (especially the kids). I know some have thought that I am a little mean when it comes to that but really why do you need to jump out of the lake and then go sit down completely wet? Drip off for a minute/dry off and then you can come down to the seating area.
