Just bought my boat and was wondering for the rear drain plug there seems to be some kind of piece of metal about 4 inches in. Just wondering if that is supposed to be there as both times I have taken it out for about 3hrs, no water has come out of it. Thanks guys.

I never take mine out. Just remove the one under your engine sometimes if you want to drain, that's the low point when your boat sits level. I don't remove my plugs all the time anyway, I let the bilge do the work until it starts to get a little dirty then I give it a quick spray and let it drain at the carwash. I try not to get any dirty water in the lake.
