    Rubber bumpers

Hi, I own a 1998 2100i that I purchased last year. I tried to tie up at the dock to put out the rubber bumpers. I have the pop up cleat on the front but there is no pop up cleat on the rear. Am I missing something? Where do people hook up the rubber bumpers on the rear?

    Thanks, mainiak1

Lift the end of the back seat up. Place the rope between the side of the boat and the end of the seat. The ledge the seat rests on will hold the end of the rope when seat is put back in place. Put a knot in the rope so it won't be pulled back out.

Has worked for me so far.

      Thanks, Laketrash

I thought of connecting the rope to the hinge of that gas shock for the bumper. I assume we're supposed to tie the rear of the boat to the swim platform or that stainless bar I thought on my boat they just forgot to put them on, I guess not.

I use these quicktek suction cups to wedge it into that slot of the rear seatback. I purchased those suction cup things hoping they would work for the sides. They only worked for a short time. As the boat would rub up against the sides of the dock it would pull the bumper down a little at a time, until the bumper would fall off. So now I use it to wedge it into the pocket on the rear seatback.

Glad I could help. The only negative to it is, if you open the rear hatch while the bumper is in place. About half the time it will lift out with the hatch and start floating away. Other than that it is a solid hold.

I purchased some new dock lines and this picture was on the back. I have never tied up this way. But it is different.

Looks like they are trying to sell more dock lines!

                  That's what I thought too.
