where is it? can I get one at orielly's or does it need to be a specific one at a boat dealer? I have a 2001 20i 5.7 comp/ski merc.

looking at the front of the motor it's on the front left side inside a plastic housing. West Marine has them, but you can get them cheaper online.

several model numbers to choose from: Fram PS3808, Baldwin BF970, Sierra 18-7944 and merc# 35-802893T. All are 10 micron and suitable for fuel injected use.
