    2000 20i floor

Anyone ever attempted to put built in ballast bags under the floor on each side of the engine.
is there enough room. I know it would have to be custom built.
and has anyone replace the plywood

I bought the boat in may with 248 hrs
for wakeboarding with my sons. And we tried surfing and are hooked. The boat has 348 hrs on now.. its probably like dam what happened
my last boat was an outboard
This one has no room and i dont like the ballast bags on the floor
    Thanks

Check out Nickypoo's build thread on his DD. he replaced the rear fuel tank and built in two ballasts on each side. as far as under the floor, I haven't seen it done (yet) don't know if there is enough room down there, it might get you a little, but I doubt enough to replace everything. Plus who knows how the stingers run and how much space that will occupy. Nickypoo might know as he talked to Tige when he did his. If you do it, take lots of pics and document it for us lol.
I took my space in the rear compartment for a ballast and then got lead to go around too. Small bag could fit under the rear seat too.

To be honest, the work would not be worth the reward. I'm in the process of rebuilding a '81 Supra, at the deepest part I have 6" between the deck and the hull. I would imagine that the 20i would be even less as it has even less freeboard and flatter bottom.
