    accessing the transom

Anyone ever had to access their transom below the storage compartment? I need to remove the bottom of the storage compartment so I can access the transom where my muffler connects.
I see the screws to remove the back board where the back seat rest against, but not sure if the base of the storage compartment is removable?

You gas tank is directly above the mufflers and below the storage.

Ouch! So has anyone ever had to access the connections for the exhaust back there? I don't think I can reach down in there and really do the work I need to do...easly. But then maybe removing the gas tank would be a PITA too?? I have to replace the part that goes thru the transom as well so gonna need some diagrams showing this connection. Will Tige manufacturer be of help with diagrams showing how this all goes together?
I can't see paying someone $$$$ for a project I can do myself.

The gas tank can be removed. It is not an impossible procedure but it will definately be a challenge and also working on the exhuast 100 times easier.

Maybe try a search and see if anyone else has documented how to do it.

alright, I'm trying to contact the manuf. for some input with diagrams on how all that is put together. Would make my life easier knowing where things are bolted etc.

I had my gas tank out on my 20i when I redid the itnerior. It was not that bad to get out or put back in. Once you take out the rear seat, it's a piece of cake. Just my 2 cents worth.

Do you have pics and can you describe? PM me. If you read my post on "General Techincal Issues" you will see I think I have resolved my cas? But, just in case, would be nice to know the steps to taking apart the back and removing the tank in the future.

                  Thanks
